THE AMERICA EXPERIMENT
America is often presented as an open horizon of possibility, yet its landscapes hint at a more complicated record. These images isolate moments of symbolic tension left by an experiment built on division, extraction, and belief in progress without consequence, where aspiration is mythologized while the persistent specter of oppression and exploitation is displaced, obscured, or recast as spectacle. Size is determined to achieve a 1:1 scale of the content depicted. The following images represent primary examples of ongoing threads that are progressively expanded upon in my travels through the American landscape.
